As part of the AdvantageNewcastle programme BusinessLab ran a series of workshops during the w/c 10th October for businesses in Newcastle and the North East.

The workshops were based around the 4 themes of the AdvantageNewcastle project: Smart Age Business, Personal Strategies, Assisted Living and All Age City, developed by the stakeholder group, which is listed to the right of this page.

The workshops were designed to get business leaders to participate in the programme and to shape thinking on what needs to be done to help businesses capitalise on the economic opportunities of the ageing demographic.

Out of each workshop came a large number of project ideas. These can be viewed under the 'publications' tab above. The next stage of the programme is to identify 3 key projects to be taken forward into 2012.
